Applications for Guildford Lane Gallery’s 2009 Open Art Studio program are accepted on an ongoing basis.
THE WEDNESDAY PROJECT
The Wednesday Project promotes marginal, peripheral and/or ephemeral art forms and critical forums: Lectures, performances, music, screenings and so forth. The program prefers applications from those who are able to commit to a series of Wednesday nights. For example, a particular artist, curator or collective can host the first Wednesday of the month for a period of 6 months. This structure aims to ensure that the Wednesday Project is dynamic and diverse and also, that it presents a variety of art forms to the community.
The program encourages applications from the arts community and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Interested applicants should submit the following:
- 1 page CV (for groups ½ page CV)
- Relevant supporting visual/writing/audio material (no more than 5 pieces)
- A 500-word description of your idea for the Wednesday Project
- Nominate a Wednesday for your event. Please specify dates and duration.
