Self Torture and Strenuous Exercise

A Play by Harry Kondoleon

March 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 @ 8PM

Presented by THE ARTISAN COLLECTIVE through arrangement with William Morris Endeavour Entertainment

Directed by Ben Pfeiffer

Featuring: Marissa Bennett, Kristina Brew, Mick Lomonaco and Josh Price

Australia receives its premiere performance of Kondoleon’s brilliantly imaginative black comedy. Two couples are caught in a web of infidelity, loneliness, desire and denial. As Alvin retreats further and further into his world of vegetables in a quest to understand “God’s great recipe”, Bethany, Carl and Adel are left fighting their hearts’ battles on the literary plane.

Obie award winning playwright, Harry Kondoleon, was the recipient of the Fullbright, National Endowment for the Arts, Rockefeller and Guggenheim fellowships.

“What Kondoleon uncovers are the footprints of our humanity, and lack thereof.” - Curtain up
